Job Description

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for operating, administering, configuring and maintaining enterprise Web and Application environments across multiple products with a strong focus on automation. Activities include defining and executing ongoing administration and application performance maintenance, procedures, and operations; problem diagnosis and resolution; participating in after-hours on-call rotation; as well as project support.
Expected technical knowledge :
- Modern Cloud Technology and Virtualization (AWS and IKS).
- Managing Microservices Platform on AWS Cloud with Kubernetes / Dockers environment.
- Application Release/Maintenance: CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT/GitHub.
- Experience in administration, configuration, management and tuning of Web Application Servers and implementation of security with App Servers.
- Aware about all AWS Services related to enterprise application including AWS networking, system and security components.
- Container platform & Microservices: Docker Enterprise, Kubernetes, ArgoCD.
- Configuration and Standardization: Ansible /Chef/SaltStacks.
- Automation: Shell Scripting, PowerShell Scripting, Python, Ruby Perl, Go Language, Jenkins.
- Application Servers: nginix, TomCat Apache Server.
- Monitoring: App Dynamics, Wavefront, Splunk, Grafana, DataDog, etc.
- Building integrations of AWS and Application Platform with PagerDuty/Slack
Additional non-technical attributes.
- Positive participation in an Agile Scrum/Kanban Team, following Agile Practice with work, supporting 24*7 cycle in rotational shifts, participate in after-hours, on-call pager rotation, Incidence Management, On Call support, Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Architect and implement infrastructure for building, testing, deploying, tuning and troubleshooting production, DR, and lower environment like testing, staging and development system.
- Design and manage monitoring/alerting and performance analysis system.
- Experience in working with different stake holders like Application Product Owners, System Administration, QA/Testing Team, Business Analyst and Program Managers.
- Have worked on Agile and practice and methodologies and change management life cycles and used tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.
